Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
The audible devices like motion alarms or back-up alarms generate sound that needs to be very loud in order to be heard above the noise that the forklift generates in the operating area.
The sound produced by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or sounds from the work environment. The sound should also be different from the other noise or audible devices in the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care has to be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can occasionally get disabled from both employees and operators since they can find them irritating. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator is able to choose the performance need. As well, it enables a supervisor to set the unit's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machinery in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
