Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel steering and four wheel drive capable machines which allow work to be completed effectively, even when the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which enables the user to easily calibrate the equipment and its parts. System diagnostics are offered in many languages. There are dual fuel options available on the Z-80/60 model. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is quiet, but turbocharged. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. It also carries more than enough torque for better grade-ability and terrain.
Better traction for tough terrain is due to four-wheel drive and full-time positive traction. The Z-135/70 comes standard with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this particular unit comprise coordinated, crab, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the machine more agility. The full-time active oscillating axle helps enhance wheel contact on uneven ground. All of these features truly make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts smoother and easier to utilize on irregular terrain.
Though these models are larger compared to other Genie engine-powered articulating Z-booms, they have features like continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs to provide the user with incredible range of motion and reach. The design of the Z-boom gives the models exceptional over and up positioning capability that varies from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 unit to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 unit. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively engineered mechanism used for both extending and retracting axles in and out of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is only 2.46 meters when the axle is stowed. For easier transport, the Z-80/60 has fixed width axles.
