Kinds of Boom Lifts or Construction Lifts
Construction lifts refer to the machinery used to enable employees to locate high-up locations without building any scaffolding. They are utilized to work on elevated structures, to do maintenance work and are common machinery found in warehouse and factory environment too.

Usually, construction lifts offer wheeled and powered bases that are capable of driving to the work place and have a platform on them that is responsible for lifting personnel. There are many different types of lifts and each and every one is suitable to different tasks and environment.

Bucket Trucks
Bucket trucks or cherry pickers, are built with a long boom that has a bucket connected at the end. This bucket area is where a worker may stand. Usually, bucket trucks are used by utility workers and by landscapers. Landscapers usually use these machines to prune trees.

Bucket trucks are outfitted with a boom assembly that is mounted on a regular truck, and this means these lifts could travel on roads at normal traffic speeds. This mobility really increases the area they could effectively service. This is especially essential for power companies. For instance, a lot of these companies utilize cherry pickers to lift employees up so they could work on and reach transmission lines. The buckets should be inspected frequently and insulated properly as they are working close to potential shock hazards.

Articulated boom lifts are also called "knuckle lifts", and consist of a work platform that is mounted on an arm which can bend in order to reach around obstacles. The base of the lift contains a turntable and could turn the lift in a full circle. The base of the lift is mounted on wheels as well for extra mobility.

Usually, the articulated boom lift is utilized for landscaping projects but is also handy for maintenance work on projects that are already finished. Projects that do not require easy access right beneath the jobsite. These lifts could be utilized to repair piping or exterior electrical work, as well as areas which are hard to clean. Usually knuckle lifts are driven by the worker in the platform with the extended boom.
