Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also known as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated with care to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment should be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to be able to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered in order to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Slowly stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
