When the time comes to pick the right warehouse truck, it is a good idea to figure out how high you intend to raise your cargo, how much you have to raise, how much space you have to work in and how far you want to travel. These factors would really affect your buying decision and help decipher which forklift truck is the best one out there to suit all your needs and meet your whole expectations.

Normal Aisles
The most inexpensive trucks are pedestrian stackers. These machines are great for working in normal width aisles and completing ordinary stacking jobs inside a warehouse. They could easily lift cargo of less than 750kg and be able to stack them to heights of around 4.5 metres. One more model called rider stackers could successfully lift cargo to approximately 6 metres.

Yet a different choice to think about are reach trucks as they offer much greater load and lift capacities, whilst several models complete with telescopic forks. This characteristic enables you the ability to stack pallets two deep. For added flexibility in goods handling, there is a 4-way and a multi-way reach truck which as the name implies, can be driven in four directions. These models are particularly great for handling bulky and long items like for example boards, piping and planks.

Counterbalance trucks are best suitable for traveling longer distance and are a good choice for stacking jobs, particularly block stacking. They are also an excellent option for free stacking and stacking loads which weigh more than 2 tonnes.

A Tight Squeeze
If you are working in a high-density storage operation, the aisle space will typically be much narrower and the heights you will want to reach to would possibly be much higher. Man-up telescopic lift trucks function well in high-bay, narrow aisle stores. They offer the operator or driver a good view of the stacking process. There are other types referred to as man-up combi trucks. These are fairly versatile in that they could be utilized for both order- picking and stacking jobs. They could be used in narrow aisles or driven all over the warehouse.
